Well I finally got every thing together and it cooled off enough to get out and rig my 16. When I bought the boat the guy I bought it from said that it had not been rigged in about 8 years. I found that the lines and standing rigging was in pretty good shape. I now plan on splashing the boat the first of next week, it has been several years sense I sailed a 16 footer and I am looking farward to it. I am going to try and at]tach a couple of pictures I hope. Well looks like I can't get pictures to post so will try again later

I remember first rigging our boat in the driveway. She had been sitting for about ten years, so likely similar in some respects. There may be some life left in the standing rigging, but I'd recommend new lines. If bent over pulleys for that length of time in weather, they may have kinks (mine did). Small investment for running rigging that will likely last years if taken care of, and the stuff is so much better now.
