Regarding the logging-in problem:
I hope to be able to fix this in a few short days, once I have regular access to the 'net here at the marina. Until then, Clemens gave me an idea about this problem.
If you are a new or an older member, and are having problems logging in, make a reply post to this one, and put your Forum Username in the post.
New Members: Go ahead and post your username as soon as you finish registration, in order to get your membership authorized for logging in.
If those of you who run into this problem will do this, an Admin can look here easily to see who needs fixin', and get you set up quickly and easily. :)
This should keep us from having a whole bunch of "Can't log in" posts, until I can get things fixed, and the problem is resolved.

I looked up your member name and couldn't find it; if you joined during last week (approx 10/28/05 - 11/05/05), then your info was lost during a data restore. Please rejoin, and I'll check back so that when you have, if needed, I can activate the membership for you. Sorry for the trouble! :)
I registered long ago but am a senior citizen and don't remember what I used for a username or password. Your forum won't let me re-register because it still has my email address: songo**********nk.net
What can I do to logon or re-register?

I've reset your membership to active. Your userID is: hobie kernan. Enter it exactly like that and also input your existing password and you should be good to go! :) Thank you for persisting. If you have any other problems logging on let us know. We'll get it straighted out.

Your UserID that you entered is casespecific: Crabcop. If you have your password you shouldn't have any problem logging in. If you do, let me know and I will email you a new password as well.

Sorry about the log-in issue. Earlier today the forum was down and that might have been why you weren't able to log on. Since your userID B.Hart is still active, I will send you an email with a temporary password. You can log on and go to your profile then and change it to something that works for you.

Try re-registering. If the old server we got is working right today, you'll be admitted aboard, however, if you've registered anytime in the past with the same email address, the server will gag on your second time through. :? If you continue to have problems notify me direct via my email and we'll work it through.

Yes Dan,
The image gallery as well as the classified section are actually separate units so you will have to register in each. Most people just use the same password and userID to keep from getting confused. :roll: :wink:

I still do not have a valid account. The server says something like " email address is already in use". Also, the activation email had no activation code. I have been trying to register for many months now. My gallery account works fine.

The reason you are getting this is because you are already registered as ebuchanan not edbuchanan, and the website already has your email address listed under that registration. To solve this, either log in under ebuchanan if you remember your password, or let me know, and I can issue you a temporary password via your email. I can also delete the old registration and you can start over. Just let me know ;)

(email address hidden to keep spam bots at bay). Under "forgot my password" I get this response:
"Sorry, this account has not yet been approved. If you need to change your email address please click here."
Could you delete please the forum account based on my e-mail address? The account in your system seems to have no password or activation code. My gallery account is fine.

I think I've really messed this up. I have no idea what I've done now. I'm sorry. I don't normally drink this much coffee. I don't know what stage in the process I am: Am I new? I'm at most 4 days old. I can't seem to log in, but I managed to log in under ANOTHER name with my e-mail and password. So, I'm either "Liane" or I'm "blowmedown". Can you help me with my identity crisis?
EIther way, I'm now not having success with EITHER identity. Maybe I need a third?
Let me know what you suggest. I promise not to acquire any further identities in the meantime.
