Title: first sail "carlyle lake"
Post by: kickingbug1 on March 24, 2012, 05:17:53 PM
well last sunday was my first day on carlyle lake. you clr sailors will remember rich as a great guy and one hell of a sailor. he and i took out my 16 and had one hell of a sailing day. winds were south at between 15 to 25 (carlyle sailors know what that means---waves). we sailed south from hazlett all the way to west access. it was a day to shake off the rust of winter and relearn sailing. much thanks to rich and i hope others have had a great first sail

Had our first sail of the season yesterday, at Pueblo Lake State Park, CO.  Weather 81 degrees, winds nice and easy stuff for us, at 10-12 mph.  Only sailboat on the water.  Other lakes where we typically sail in the mountains in summer are iced over.  Still, first time we've been able to sail in March in CO.  Crazy weather, but I'm all over it!
