Title: Getting my CP16 today
Post by: Spartan on March 23, 2012, 09:36:59 AM
The early warm weather is allowing me to get my boat this afternoon.  It'll be good to have a couple extra weeks to get ready for sailing season.

Ahhhhh!  The smell of sailing is in the air.  Get those spring jobs done quickly and get out soon.

Fair winds,

Mike

Parked safe and sound in the backyard.
Now of course weather has turned to crap.

Did get the hull washed down and covered.  Trip to West Marine today for some supplies.

I get more and more disenchanted with WM.  It seems that they rarely have what I want in stock.  I try to support our local store, but they always say they will order whatever it is I am after.  Yesterday I stopped by to pick up some really basic sailing items and came away disappointed again.  I know you can't beat them for worldwide service and I will keep supporting the local store, but I wish there were alternatives.  Off to the Internet now to order those items at a lower price.

Hope your shopping trip goes better.

Mike

Agreed, I use Duckworksbbs.com almost exclusively.

Today I was after some 3M cleaner/Wax to get started.
Did also get a deal on a handheld VHF radio for 44.99 on clearance as well.

Picture in the yard after washing the hull below the rubrail:
Definitley need to figure out how to get rid of the nasty yellow bootstripe.
