Title: Happy Day
Post by: roamy on February 21, 2012, 11:11:07 AM
Kind of like the 3rd happiest day!?  Just sold a little project AMF sunbird 16 I fixed up(not terribly nice but solid, functional and shiny!  oh and wet!) so now on to my brand new 1977 CP16 in need of full restoration.  She ain't gonna get it yet.  Watching Jordans work takes a little anxiety out of some of the big stuff but my boat isn't quite as rough.  I'm patching small hull damage and paint, replacing compression post(rot), and ensuring rigging integrity...I gotta get out and have some fun!!!
Question:  some rot on bunk ply...maybe 20% or less...any structural problems there?
any other musts a novice sailor needs to do/know     St. Johns river  Jax, fl
Thanks and I love the info here and have a few more ???   Ya'll don't mind, do ya

How can one not open a link entitled "Happy Day"?   My 16 is a 78'.   I too am watching and seeing what is possible.
Good luck,  congratulations, and have fun!
