went to the strictly sail event in chicago again - after several seminars regarding considerations of boat stability and STIX numbers
I am curious if anyone has looked up the capsize screen index or STIX number for the compac 23 .
I have already sailed this boat and am happy but as I am considering inland lake chartering on this boat I want to be able
to answer all questions from the spec-curious types.

Capsize number is 12. After 12 drinks, you are at risk of serious capsize.
Sorry, couldn't resist. There was a reason I was the class clown. I'm also curious about this but I'm sure it's posted on line somewhere.

Years ago Small Craft Adviser had gave the capsize formula so anyone could run the numbers for their boat.

I don't subscribe to this magazine anymore.

2.22 is the capsize ration for a CP23/3

Carl's calculator has it at 2.17

Be aware that it is considered "controversial as to its use"
