I'm) visiting family in February, sand disgorge and wonder if is crazy to ask for a day sail when a visit? ?
I am an experienced owner of now my 5th boat and have done a lot of work on boats as well as cruising/racing. Willing to help in any way; just really hope to sail in the mission bay area . Will be coming to visit faimly. In february or march.

Not crazy at all..........When I had my other boat (Hunter 170) I belong to a club with an owners forum much like this one.
I had three people from the east cost who were visiting the Los Angeles area ask to meet and sail which we did. We had a great time together.
I haven't sailed in Mission Bay for about 5 years now but its a nice area to sail. I always wanted to sail the Main Harbor but have yet done so.
San Diego has a lot to see and do, Old Town, The gas light district and if you have the time, take a tour of the USS Midway, you wont be disappointed.
There are some Com Pac owners in San Diego and The Sand Diego Yacht Dealer sells Com Pac's There I think his name is Ian, don't remember his last name, he might be able to put you in contact with a Com Pac owner for a ride!
