Title: C16 Jib sheet catching on side stay.
Post by: deisher6 on September 22, 2011, 02:09:45 PM
The jib sheets on our C16 are catching at the point where the side stays connect to the chain plate particularly when reaching.  The pvc turnbuckle protectors do not extend over the problem connection.

Replacing the jib and main sheet with 8mm BZZZ which may help with the problem the next outing.

Interested to hear of any solutions.

Thanks

regards charlie

One quick fix is to wrap the offending item with rigging tape.

Hi Charlie,

I use a length of garden hose cut lengthwise then a bit of electrical tape.
