My new to me 1980 Compac 23 had some barnacles growing on the hull. I had a diver scrape the bottom and now have pulled the boat to repaint the bottom and have noticed some small holes in the hull. These are not the pin size holes that I have read about but 1/4-1-8 wide and about the same depth. There are only a few but wanted to get some input on the best repair plans. I have a little experience with fiberglass repairs, but nothing like this. It appears the holes are near the waterline where the barnacles were the worst. I would appreciate any suggestions.

plenty of online sources for blister repair, but basically feather the edges with a grinder or sander, allow to dry thoroughly which may require tenting the boat to keep rainwater from draining down the side. Press the edges of the holes to make sure no water is still weeping out then fill and fair with thickened epoxy, consider an epoxy barrier coat once the repairs are all done.
If the holes are deep enough that the glass came out with the gel coat, you may have to feather a little wider, overlap some new glass in the hole before finishing and fairing. Remember for repairs, epoxy is your friend, don't use polyester resin
