Read somewhere of improved performance(speed and pointing) with an Idarudder and a new main containing full battens.  Would appredciate confirmation from CP-16 owner.

Idarudder should be fitted as Standard gear on the 16.  Full battens and a semi-gaff head will improve windward performance.  Skip
