which now has my last story for that magazine, "Trailer Sailing". (Page 66).
Not that you guys need any instruction in that topic, but it is meant to be an educational piece for new sailors and power boaters, as well as for visitors to the state.
FWM has a few more of my stories, also illustrated by Fritz Seegers. There is an article on "Coastal Cruising" and an astronomy article on the "Zodiacal Light and the Green Flash", which may appear in the upcoming online edition of the magazine. In the event they decide not to publish them, I'll place them here for your inspection.
Your article was a good read, even for someone that lives in Michigan. Who did the illustrations in the article it is a nice touch to your story. I am just trying to read everything that I can on Trailer sailing.
I have so many creeks, pings and stays slapping around, It kinda makes in nervous pulling the boat. Luckily I have big lakes and a huge bay within 15 miles from most compass points of my house.
My artist, Mr Fritz Seegers, lives in Kalamazoo and is an experienced Great Lakes sailor. He sails a classic wooden 25' cutter. Check out his website or some of my other articles accessible through the FWM website to see other examples of his work.
Let me also add my recommendation to that of others on this site that you read "Handbook of Trailer Sailing"
by Robert F Burgess. I've never seen a more complete or comprehensive guide to the topic, even for an experienced hand! Burgess also stresses Com-Pac boats, he owns a 16' and a 19'.
