I know this info has been posted before, but I can't find it on the site. How many CP 19s were made, total? Bella's hull is #453 (July 1988) and I'm curious how many siblings she has.

There were 624 CP19's made. Including all versions (I,II, III, and XL). production continued until 2002.
HenryC, a member here on the forum, interviewed Hutchins and obtained this figure from the horses mouth.
Wes, what is the hull #? And have this boat been added to our accounting?
Mine is #588 and that makes it an XL. Has a fiberglass inside ceiling, one piece and down below the port holes.
Over the years the color of white has varied as well.

Skip, my hull is #453. As far as I know it is a "III", not XL. Made in July, 1988. I have white headliner but it stops above the wide teak band that runs around behind the portlights. Yes, I've entered it in the CPYOA registry. I have been working hard on restoration since buying her in December, and plan to post some before/after photos soon.

Cool. So my hull 453 is an "early" 19/3. Hope that the 10 previous 19/3s were adequate for them to work out the bugs before they made mine :).

Quick question, does your boat have a fiberglass or lexan hatch on the bow? If Lexan, you probably have one of the earlier deck mold changes. Also does your non-skid areas look like folded knots or magnified sandpaper? Lastly is your motor mount aluminum or stainless?
Salty - I have the Lexan hatch (Bomar low profile). My non-skid looks like folded knots. Garelick motor mount is stainless. I have had some amazingly good experiences with Hutchins and various hardware manufacturers through the long process of renovation, but Garelick was the sole exception. I completely disassembled my motor mount to clean and lube it. Wanted to purchase replacements for the plastic spacer tubes, but Garelick told me they refuse to sell replacement parts. Their theory is that owners have no business taking the mounts apart. They do offer a factory refurbish/rebuild service, but only for mounts 10 years old or younger. I can see why they discourage disassembly, because putting the mount back together was quite a challenge due to spring tension. But I managed. Ended up putting the original plastic tubes on a drill press and cleaning them up with fine sandpaper.

I have hull #003 it was bought new Oct 28 1981 complet refurbishing will post when done rf2
Wes, the 'XL's have a fiberglass liner inside the cabin. Just look~see at the 4" ports sticking out. If a lot of port sticks out under the eye brow it's a lll as the wood liner takes up less room in terms of cabin wall thickness and if not much sticks out from under the eye brows it is an XL.
