THANKS for looking. Boat sold.
Price drop for the weekend. Leaving for a trip soon and would like to sell it before I leave...
Hate to do it, but after a lot of work and a few weeks of sailing it, I've come to the conclusion that this boat is too small for my family of 4. I'd be interested in trading up to a 19 or 23 if anyone is in the area and is interested in trading. I'll plan to keep sailing it until it sells--it's great fun but a bit small for the whole crew.
This is a 1981 Compac 16 with original Magic-Tilt trailer in great shape. This boat is in very good condition and ready to sail with original main and jib plus aftermarket genoa. This is a freshwater, lake boat and has only been in salt water for a few weeks starting this summer. I just sailed it through Fisher's Island sound this weekend and it performed great.
Recent maintenance:
Removed liner and loose concrete
Bottom painted with Interlux epoxy
Hull compounded and waxed
Interior painted; removed divider in v-berth to make it more accessible and open it up; cut out the old divider panel and re-glassed the seam.
New rudder hardware, new outboard motor mount, new companionway hatch
Trailer: new lights and wiring, new bunkboards and hardware, new center keel roller
Boat and trailer are both ready to go! The only thing missing is a motor (Mercury 3.3 hp available if interested). Please contact me at 860-two four five-5147 of bkrautler at hotmail dot com if interested.
