Title: worn out by the sirens....
Post by: brackish on April 27, 2011, 10:59:29 AM
...three days and nights almost constantly on last night and this morning.  currently in a tornado, severe t-storm, and flash flood warning. watching it on the radar, hook echo passing a couple of miles north on its way to Bay Springs and my boat,  may get to see how good Boats U.S. insurance is.

spending a lot of time in the hall.

I hope you, your family and your boat are safe. We've been watching your weather...it doesn't look good. Be safe!

Thanks for the thought Bob.  We're OK this morning, and I guess the marina would have called if they had damage to any boats.  Others not so fortunate.  The communities of Smithville, Endville, and Okolona all within 5-15 miles from us, quite a few casualties, much damage.  Worse just across the state line in Alabama.

Well sounds like you and yours have dodged that bullet.
Thankfully.

Brack,

The rest of the country may only be starting to realize the extent of the damage and the lives lost from the past week's tornados.

Good to hear that you made it.

For some reason I missed this post entirely.  Brack, glad you made it through OK.  Couldn't believe the destruction down there.    We get tornadoes regularly (Ohio), but not mile wide versions!   I made a nice contribution to the Red Cross for relief; the gulf has been through so much that's the least I can do.
