Title: SCA article about cruising 52 days in a Com-Pac 16
Post by: ARod on April 19, 2011, 08:07:08 AM

I just received the latest issue of Small Craft Advisor magazine (May/June 2011), and was pleased to see a story about a couple cruising from the Everglades to the Florida Keys in a Com-Pac 16.  This journey--nearly 500 miles--was taken entirely without a motor.

It's a great read for fans of the boat, so look for it at your local bookstore if you're interested.

It is, by the way, a great magazine in general if you're into small boats.  I usually find myself reading it cover-to-cover.

I read the article too, pretty amazing.

I did a two day cruise with my wife in a CP16, and we both agreed we needed something bigger. 52 days is a long time.

I think the couple who wrote the article either posted on this board or on the Yahoo group.  SCA is also getting ready to do a review on the CP16 and sent out a survey to interested folks via the Yahoo group.
