I don't have a C16 for sail but I wanted to wish you luck in your search. You're right there doesn't seem to be many here in the west but I do occasionally see them listed on Craig's List and here http://smallcraftadvisor.com/classifieds (http://smallcraftadvisor.com/classifieds). SCA classifieds has an Eclipse currently and there was a 16 not too long ago.

Only reason is hackers scan nearly all internet forums and pull identifiable info like an email address. You will get spammed a lot more if it's in plain view as the scammers will know it'a a real address. Just food for thought.
