Title: exterior finishes
Post by: sjensen24 on October 26, 2010, 01:53:36 PM
I just purchased a 1980 Compac 23 and am considering some improvements.  The hull is quite weathered and I am looking for advice on the best way to brighten it up.
The decks on this model are all white.  I kind of like the two tone look of later models.  Has anyone had experience with painting the decks?

SJ:
I have a 1985 23 with white decks as was considering the same project. But the non skid works so great and if I painted with non-skid paint (I was considering tan) I'd have to repaint and/or touch up periodically. Practicallity won out over ascetics.
If my non skid had lost it's non skiddyness, I'd do it but for now, it's white decks for me.
