Title: Portugese dinghy for a 23
Post by: bob lamb on July 19, 2010, 02:08:22 PM
Ahoy Mates;
s  Seems like I once saw a post from a 23 captain about having a Portugese dinghy on his boat...can't locate that post and I'd like more info on how he stored it on deck...

All help appreciated!

I did that. I had to custom make it (less than 7.5 feet) and used the plans from Hanu's boatyard. Worked great and was very light. Covered the bottom with one layer of epoxy glass and paint all around. There is a picture of it on Sailfar.

Not sure what that is but we built a Chesapeake lightcraft east port pram.  Weighs about 50 lbs- 4 ft beam 8ft overall.  I wouldn't dream of putting on the foredeck though. Matt
