Title: Thanks for previous posts

Hi All,

Wow it really worked. Based upon previous posts to this site, I built a mast crutch (much easier to step the mast & trailer the boat), a reefable roller furling system made from standard schedule 40 PVC (much easier to single hand the boat), and an anchor line roller (my own design). Thanks !

Now I need to reseal the cockpit drains and install new scuppers. The standard procedure appears to be to reseal both ends of the tubes (outer hull & footwell) with 3M 5200 (scrape out the old caulk, clean the joint with alcohol, and reseal) every few years. Would it be beneficial to permanently attach one end of the tube and let the other end float with caulk ?

Al
