Well, there I was in my dream. Sailing in "Koinonia" on the Barnegat Bay. Winds were a bit light but soon freshened up. Dreams are sometimes so ideal! The late afternoon sun was shining and the clouds which were present all day (and all month) were going to provide a specatular sunset. I was sailing solo and there was no one else out- afraid of the rain forecast, I suppose. The ship was behaving perfectly and I even tried out the whisker pole for some downwind fun. All in all, it was a wonderful sail, even though it was a dream. The sunset proved to be even more beautiful than I anticipated. It was one of those "left me speechless" sunsets. "Twas a nice dream.
Or was it? When I got home I found sand in my shoes so maybe it was real after all. Maybe the sun really did come out. Maybe I really did go sailing after work and maybe I saw a real, honest-to-goodness sunset. We may never know for sure if it was a dream or reality, but it sure was fun. either way.
Presently, as I write this, the weather is back to normal. It's raining out, thank goodness. I know I'm not dreaming because I'm all wet!
Bob23- anyone got an umbrella?

"If your smile be an umbrella,
then your gonna get a wet butt"

Nice Bob, I think you got it right.  I've always felt that dreams are the seeds of reality.  I hope you have many more similar dreams, and maybe a nightmare or two just to keep it real.
If your vision goes beyond the horizon then so will your course follow

all good sailors have wet butts and sand in thier shoes, trucks and everyplace else!

Does that mean it was real? And what about the weather here in NJ yesterday..partly sunny, warm and humid- just like it's supposed to be. But, again, fortunately it rained last night. Ahhhhh..wonderful rain accompanied by a lightning light show with surround sound thunder!
Bob23- I love radical weather!

Oh yes Bob it was real - as long as there are sail boats and water and sailors its all real-   Matt

Thanks, Matt...I feel much better now!
