Title: Relocating to Dallas-Ft Worth
Post by: Lee on December 09, 2004, 10:17:24 PM
We are considering relocation to the Dallas - Ft Worth area.
What are the sailing grounds like?
What are the average slip fees?

Thanks for any helpful feedback.

Lee,  the sailing grounds are pretty good.  We have 5 lakes within 2 hours of Dallas.  Due to our topography being basically flat, most of the lakes are good for sailing.  The least expensive slip fees I've seen are on Lake Lavon, northeast of Dallas, at roughly $960 per year for a 16' boat.

Thanks Dan. Do you think we'll have to stand in line for a slip?

Are all the slips packed full or is there room for one more sailboat?

Thanks for any helpful response.
