Title: Honda 2hp engine
Post by: old-sailor on April 17, 2009, 04:20:42 PM
Has anyone used a 2hp Honda short shaft (BF2D) on their CP-16? I recently purchased a 1979 CP-16 which came with an old 2 stroke engine that is really in bad shape.  I have a 2HP Honda that I would like to use on the CP-16 and hope that it is strong enough. Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks

Welcome old-sailor

I have 3.5 and don't need 1/2 that power, 2 hp will do fine.

Love the Honda.  Had one on a Hunter 212 and it drove it just fine.  When my Tohatsu 2 stroke expires I will get another Honda.
