Title: Compac 16/1 Genoa and Bimini Wanted 1984 Anniversary Model
Post by: Greene on March 13, 2009, 07:22:23 PM
Looking for a 150 - 155 genoa for our 1984 Anniversary Issue CP16.  No bowsprit.  Our standard genoa and main are tanbark, but we would be interested in any color available.  The standard fractional jib just isn't enough for the light wind days.  Also, we would love to find a bimini for our little boat.

I've got a red and white hank on that came with my 1982 16.  What are you thinking for a fair price?  It's in good shape, I've never flown it (have a furler).

The least expensive new sail I've found is a Dacron 155 Hank-on from FX Sails.  They sell it for $285 with free shipping, so obviously I'm looking to spend less than that.  Is yours a 155?  Depending upon condition, I was hoping to find a good used one for $150 - $175.  Let me know what range you are looking for.

Thanks, Mike

I believe it's a 155%. How would you like to conduct the transaction?  Because I'm a trusting individual, I'll mail you the sail, you send me a check for what it's worth.  I like to think of this forum as a virtual small town where you take a person at their word.

Thanks!  I've sent a Personal Message to you so our e-mails can stay out of the public view.   Nice to deal with the Com-Pac sailing community.  Our CP-16 should pick up a new High Gear with a 155 to put on her.
