Title: Paul Garrison and Alexander Kent
Post by: mrb on May 10, 2008, 10:18:27 PM
Three books by Paul Garrison
THE RIPPLE EFFECT.  FIRE and ICE   and SEA HUNTER
Need to be careful about letting young daughters reading THE RIPPLE EFFECT, They may want to take over your boat and sail away.
All 3 are contemporary mystery stores that take place on and around sail boats.  The writer shows a lot of sailing knowledge.

Alexander kent, The Bolitho series follows a young mans advancement from a ensign to admiral.  historical novels ranging from revolutionary war to civil war.  He has a series much like the Hornblower series but again writes as if he has sailed.
The stories not only just take place aboard ship but talks about different type of period ships and how they were used. The books are written from a British point of view.
I find all my books at a used book store where I can trade them after I finish them.

Good Sailing
