Yes but you will find there are many maintenance projects and upgrades to do. Take the sails to the sail loft for evaluation and repair if needed. Clean up the insides, go over all the removeable equipment. Clean your ropes and sheets. Pull your batteries Read and dream about sailing. Spend a little time here everyday. We will help you get through to the spring. By the way ask your questions! I cant vouch for all the answers as there are always differences of opinion. As always ask why if the answer isn't so obvious. For a lot of us sailing is a life long obsession.

While she's covered for the winter and you're up to your elbows in projects, don't forget to take time to dream. Sometimes just sitting aboard in the middle of winter with a hot cup of java, dreaming, is theraputical.
Plus it's a good time to read, learn navigation, service the outboard...and give thanks that your Compac chose you and not someone else!

I agree with Bob23 I do quite often climb aboard and day dream...putter.... Then I have talked with others that once it is out of the water they don't think of or go near the boat until launch time 6 months later. I spent yesterday in the bilge of our new to us 76 Bristol 32C. Black slime and crud. After 4 hrs, some home built scoops, using heat cable to soften the frozen slop, temps yesterday didn't get out of the teens, I emerged victorious. Well at least from my perspective. In the belly of the beast I found a Stiltson wrench, 1/4 drive ratchet and socket, misc screw drivers,hardware. I felt like I was on a archaeological dig!
