for all interested parties--- the Clr went great. Having it at the CARLYLE SAILING ASSOCIATION turned out to be a good idea. the facility was first class and joe, the harbormaster, could have not been more accommodating. the weather was great for the first three days then the rain set in. however, we had two wonderful sailing days , sailing from 10 am until after 6 pm. sarah provided two wonderful meals with Matt in charge of the grill. As always our CLR friends were great company and provided more than a few laughs. thanks to those who attended. we hope to see you all next year.
I would like to echo Steve comments. Great facility on a great Lake. Carlyle is one of the best places to sail. In addition to the sailing, which was fantastic, sitting around at night and talking sailing with some great sailors was a plus. I learned that my sail shape was not up to par and what to do to correct it. Catalina, ComPac and Hunter were represented. One Cat rig and the rest sloops.
Steve and Sarah - Thank you, thank you, thank you. You made it a great event and God willing I be back next year for I think my 8th CLR. Who knows by then I will have found my bimini straps and be under the bimini. LOL Sail On - AL
Man, I'm sure sorry I missed it this year too! I had to work Monday and Tuesday and then Wednesday I had to meet my son in Cincinnati, by Thursday I was too pooped. Semi-retiring this December, so let's hope next year is a GO!
