Title: CLR count?
Post by: alsantini on June 04, 2026, 02:14:42 PM
I am looking forward to CLR! Steve, how about a boat/head count.  It would be wonderful if we filled the docks.  Sail On at CLR - AL

the no shows will be Dan [sold his suncat] Jason[work] and Chris [he might make it if he gets his  suncat repaired] Carl and Joan are coming [no boat sadly]. Matt, Roger and Rich will be there. Hopefully Michelle and Fastdoc will show up. I am still planning on the race (such as it is) on tuesday or wednesday or whenever. we will probably stay through the 28th and watch the fireworks on point one (always a good time) i may even motor out and anchor for a better view. Cornhole will still happen (although it wont be the same without Dan). Again eight bells for out friends John and Randy (great guys and wonderful sailors. Just another reminder (i know) cash money $10 a night, tie down straps for the trailers and chocks if you have them. I will be there Monday morning to rig and launch my boat and will remain to help others do the same. as always call when you get there 317 440 3804

Joanie & I will be arriving Monday afternoon and departing Thursday. We will be staying at the Mariner. I'm looking forward to sailing on Al's HC and with Sara & Steve.

When, 😩, if things slow down later this year, I can get around to replacing the trailer bunks and rollers so I can bring the boat next year.

If all goes well, next summer I would like to come for CLR, then head to the Apostles for a week, then to Mackinac City to sail to Beaver Island for a couple days, then on to the North Channel for a week or more. 🤞🏻

Well, darn it, the First Mate has been unsuccessful in getting the time away from work for CLR -- and as much as I wish I could solo the whole kit-n-kaboodle aboard Starflower, I'm afraid I'm not quite "there" yet with that. Next year!!! Y'all take lots of pics and videos to share -- okay?

We will not be attending this years CLR. Early this morning our dear friend Pat succumbed to cancer after a short battle.

CLR friends, I'm sorry but I'm not going to make it this year.  I have made significant progress on the repair of my Suncat but still have more to do.  I'm over the hump but not ready to launch the boat yet.   I hope the weather is great for you all and hope you have a wonderful time!
I'm really hoping Steve and Sarah are willing to host next year!

We're on our way home. Joan developed a nasty cold so we decided not to stop by.
