Just a note -
I toasted my Genoa earlier this year - ripped it from the leech to the luff 2 ft. below the head. I sent it off to SailCare three weeks ago, and got it back yesterday afternoon. I recommend them highly!
If my numbers were not on the sail, I'd swear they sent me a brand new sail. It's beautiful!! Based on this experience, I'm sending my Main & Jib in August - Little wind here at Smith Mountain Lake in Aug.
Now for some June breezes!

I also had a great experience with Sailcare. After meeting them at many sailboat shows, when I purchased my 1985 23/2, I sent my original sails off to them for reconditioning and minor repairs. They returned looking great and they sail wonderfully. For 22 year old sails, I have no complaints.

Hey all,
Three weeks ago, I sent my main to Sailcare. It was soft and dirty, needing some repairs. They quoted me 6-7 week turnaround. It came in yesterday looking brand new with new numbers, logos, and telltales. I'm really pleased at how it came back in three weeks. (although my tax return isn't back yet, and there isn't any stimulus money in my account yet)
Today, here in VA at beautiful Smith Mountain Lake, the temps are going to be knocking around 80^F. I get to hoist it this afternoon to see how she sails.
Well, Sailcare did a great job. The Queen (my wife, Victoria) & I took S'Go (CP19/II #323) out in steady 12 mph w/ gusts to 20 yesterday. We live in a narrow stretch 1/3 to 3/8 mi wide section of the lake. With the winds out of the WSW, while broad reaching, the GPS recorded a top speed of 6.9 MPH - that's 6Kts! 10% over theoretical hull speed. Sailing flat to 8^ during gusts with the Sailcare reconditioned main and the jib up. Thrilling.
As for the main, I checked it at several points of sail, the outhaul controlled the shape perfectly, the telltales told the whole story. I am not only pleased with how the sail looks and feels, but how it performs.

Yes with tell tails, and a good wind and sailing flat the speed she had in her was wrung out of her.

It rained all day today but I have the bug to 'leave the dock', problem is she's still in storage. skip.
