Title: Packed and ready for travel
Post by: alsantini on November 15, 2025, 11:11:31 AM
Well, after a terrific summer of sailing, the Horizon is cleaned, waxed, oil changed, new filters, trailer checked, etc.  Normally we are in Florida by now but the shutdown freaked my wife out since we usually fly home for Thanksgiving and Christmas and then fly back around the 28th of Dec.  So, we decided to forgo the fall in FL and leave after Christmas towing "Petit Chat" down to the SW coast of FL.  Hope to sail at least once a week or more probably out of Venice.  I am looking at a slip on Lemon Bay, which would be great and probably increase my sail time.  Still a bit up in the air since they are re-building the marina after Winward bought it.
Anyone down in the area want to sail - yell!  Sail On  Al https://photos.fife.usercontent.google.com/pw/AP1GczNQMVox8yK8vLbp_SVZKMSqU80HmAwcwOFh4nQxYTksamb7Flw04U4kGA=w768-h1024-s-no-gm?authuser=0

Still thinking of meeting us in the keys?  We launch January 6th and haul out February 9th. After haul out I'll be in Cape Coral for a week or so. Joanie will waiting there at her sister's.
