Title: Flushing the centerboard trunk
Post by: dbybe on November 10, 2025, 02:45:58 PM
On my 2009 Sun Cat. The keel sits on a full length board mounted on the trailer, making the swing up center board completely inaccessible. Has anyone drilled holes, added hose fittings to the board, etc. so that the center board slot can be flushed out?

I am thinking a few inlet and outlet holes the length of the board.  Hose fittings on the inlet holes with a connector led to the edge of the trailer. This accomplishes two things. Flushing out salt water after a sail. Also, access for the hot water sanitizing now that my area has golden mussel quarantines in the fresh water lakes.
