So, I'm considering getting new sails for my Eclipse (if I'm going to keep it for a while) and I'm not sure where to go since ComPac closed their doors. Who made the original sails that would have the correct measurements? Al, I know you got Mack sails for yours; how did you go about ordering them? Any advice would be appreciated from anyone who has replaced theirs.
Eclipse 59, here. At the beginning of last summer we ordered a new mainsail through Matt at Com Pac. Got it at summer's end, It was made by Mack. Since we were using the original sail, we were pleasantly surprised that its cut a bit different and always stays above the arch when up.
About 5 years ago we ordered a new jib through Com Pac and it also came from Mack Sails. At that time we also got a new sail cover for the old main. The new sail cover barely fits the new main.
So, it looks like Mack has been making Com Pac sails for a while. As senior sailors, the Ecplise has been a great choice for (probably) the our last boat.
Hope this helps, George
Thanks, George, that does help. Do you know if there is somewhere where I can go to find the dimensions of the sails?
Not sure you are familiar with website sailboat data, the dimensions are listed there.

My old mainsail, probably original from 2009 seems to have a shorter leach and a longer luff than the new arrival. Do not know if the dimensions changed or was the old one stretched.
New one has a bit longer leach, shorter luff, keeping it well off the arch, a pleasure!
Boat is in a slip, real measurements not available. George
I've seen that before, just didn't pay close enough attention. I may also try the recommended measuring on Mack sails website so that is specific for my boat.
I bought the Mack Sails through Com Pac but direct from Mack. They have all the dimensions, and I was extremely pleased with the sails. Very well made with quality materials.
