I've been diligent with my daily 'Searchtempest' runs on Com-Pacs listed for sale on Craigslist (it also works for FB if you have a FB account, which I don't use FB, so I cannot speak directly to all of the ins and outs of that part) across the country (U.S.). I don't know if my search parameters pull all actual Com-Pacs for sale, but what I can tell you is that, sometimes, folks list their Com-Pac boats as the following:
* Compac
* Pac
* Com-pac
* Compaq
* Com-Pac
* ComPac
* COMPAC
* COM PAC is another way I've seen Com-Pacs listed, but it does NOT come up in the results
When I've experimented using/searching via the different versions, noted above, of how people list their Com-Pacs for sale, it seems that the search term 'Compac' tends to pull the most results.
Anyhow, the above all said, I'm pretty astounded by the number of results for used Com-Pacs for sale across the country right now. In the past five years I've been searching/looking at the used Com-Pac market, I don't think I've come across as many Com-Pacs for sale as there are currently — makes me wonder if these are Covid boats up for sale, or perhaps if people are selling now that the company is out of business — who knows. It's interesting, though. I know it's also boating season across much of the U.S. so that must also play a part, of course.
Not sure if these links will work (when I test them in 'Preview' mode they do), but in case you're interested to take a peek at what's out there, try these out:
US East locations (https://washingtondc.craigslist.org/search/boo?bundleDuplicates=1&postal=20004&query=Compac&search_distance=1000&sort=date#search=2~gallery~0)
US Central locations (https://wichita.craigslist.org/search/boo?bundleDuplicates=1&postal=67209&query=Compac&search_distance=1000&sort=date#search=2~gallery~0)
US West locations (https://fresno.craigslist.org/search/boo?bundleDuplicates=1&postal=93703&query=Compac&search_distance=1000&sort=date#search=2~gallery~0)
As of this post, there are 26 Com-Pacs for sale in the Eastern U.S. region, 11 in the Central U.S. region, and 8 for sale in the West U.S. region.
I'll say it again — interesting.
P.S. Btw, using this search tool is a fast and easy way to check on sellers dropping prices.
The market is "flooded" with used boats this year.
