Title: 2000 Picnic Cat for Sale (Bear Lake)
Post by: passagesfromtheheart on June 06, 2025, 06:29:17 PM
Not the one for sale on Lake Geneva, another one, I think perhaps the same year (or thereabouts). The more I learn about these, the more tempted I am! :-)

Not my boat; no affiliation with seller:

If you make a trip to look at this one, you can also view (possibly sail) our SunCat, in a slip in Traverse City...though it is definitely not on the market.

Hi, Jim! Thank you so much for the very kind offer to see and possibly sail your Sun Cat if I were to find myself in your neck of the woods — that is so generous of you! 🙏⛵️

It appears to be sold already, the Craigslist ad is gone! I'm still looking for a PC or maybe an Eclipse on the east coast.

Hi! Here's another PC that I came across -- location is Edgewater, Maryland -- maybe this one could work for you?

Thanks! I had not seen that listing yet. My budget is $5-10K at the moment, so I'll keep searching for a PC or maybe something else. I love Compac's!

Hi, KObek! Did you see crazycarl's post about the open boat Sun Cat for sale here on the Classifieds? It's in your range! ⛵️😊 I love Com-Pacs, too! 🤗⛵️🌊🌞

5-10K is perfectly reasonable. This might be NOS, but 18,9K is high. Plenty of good serviceable boats will be had in your range. I don't know what the retail was when Com-Pac closed, but I wouldn't pay a premium for an orphaned brand.

Looks stock except for the lazy jacks and maybe the boat cover, and the Suzuki. A dealer wouldn't spend that money on spec. A new boat with possibly few hours, and an owner/estate with unrealistic expectations.
