On my bicycle ride today I counted 1-19 for sale in a boatyard, 2-16s in driveways, 3-suncats in driveways, a picnic cat in a yard, 2-27s and a 33 in marinas. On my sail this afternoon I counted 1-19, 1-23, 2-27s, and 1 sunday or picnic cat at private docks. (it was partially covered)
There once was a Compac dealer in town, which explains why so many reside here. I am really surprised no one has started a club. I've never come upon another Compac out sailing, but there was a 27 at this and last year's Pirate Jam. (a concert on the water you can only attend by watercraft)
edit: I forgot about the Eclipse on a trailer in a drive.

Got any details? Actively looking for a 19.
I'll look for the ad. If I recall right, they're asking $12,000. YIKES! I did find this one up in New Bern...
Search: Compac and it will be at the bottom of the page.

I'd love to see the ad if you end up being able to dig it up. If it's a super late-model 19, it might demand that kind of price... I guess it depends on what it is and what it's got for inventory.
I see the one at the bottom of the town dock site... I'll try reaching out to them tomorrow. That's a pretty good price for a 19.
I appreciate the leads!
Here it is, a mark I.
Notice the chain plate moved aft to facilitate removing the backstay.

Yeah... I saw that one. Definitely expensive for a Mark I. And I'm not necessarily looking for a heavily modified 19 like that. I'd ideally like to find a 19/2 or newer (/3, or /XL) that's not been modified extensively.

Reached out to that seller today... evidently he sold the boat 7 months ago. It's a shame... awesome price if it was in reasonable shape!
The right boat is out there.
If you can find me a Flicka with the private head & diesel, I will sell you my '85 19/II. 😉

Crazier things have happened!
Planning on closing on a beautiful little 19/3 a couple of hours from me next weekend...
An owner here reached out to me a while back. Not going to spoil the reveal in case he wants to announce it. :-)
