Title: Q: Bilge outflow size on CP23/II
Post by: pbrenton on May 06, 2007, 10:30:30 PM
Hi Folks,

Can someone with their boat immediately accessible tell me the diameter of bilge hose to use from the original whale hand bilge pump to the outflow - is there an adapter on the whale?  I think the hose is 1 1/4", but that's a guess.

My Boat is on an island, it requires two trips to get anything done; one to measure the parts, the second to bring them.  Makes it hard to run out for that one missing part too.

I'm planning to install an electric bilge pump to, uh, supplement the hand pump, but the bilge hose broke near the outflow at the end of last season, and I'll need to replace it and put a "Y" junction with backflow preventers in.  Any advice on the precise configuration or installation pitfalls is welcome.

Thanks!
