The wife says she wants a boat with standing headroom and a proper head so the hunt is on. I'd like our next boat to be a Compac 27. It has everything we need and nothing more. The mast will clear the 45' bridge for us to reach the sound. The 3 1/2' draft will clear the 4' at our dock. The turning radius will allow us to dock easily.
And, when I sell the 19, I'll eventually be looking for a 16 to dock alongside it's big sister.
If you know of anyone, or you've been thinking of selling a 27, please PM or email me.
Thanks, Carl
The 27 isn't what I would call standing headroom, but that may be a me sort of problem.
The wife is 5' 4" and I'm 5' 8", so it's standing headroom for us. ;D
My first call for available 27s in NC would be Keith Scott, and my 2nd would be Charlie Deisher. There are half a dozen at least on the Neuse and Pamlico rivers and several of those seem rarely sailed. Of course I know you're probably willing to travel farther afield.

Plenty of head room. First three minutes of this video is our tour of a CP 27 that we didn't purchase.
