Title: I want to buy an Eclipse
Post by: Robert T on March 05, 2021, 03:33:23 PM
CPYOA member Mike was kind enough to let my wife and I take a thorough look at his Eclipse, and we were very impressed with the design and build of the boat.  Unfortunately, we haven't been able to find any used ones for sale at this time.

We live in St. Petersburg FL, and would consider buying a boat anywhere in the southeast USA.  If anyone is aware of one for sale, please let me know.  Thanks.

https://www.smartmarineguide.com/boats-for-sale/com-pac-eclipse  This web site lists a bunch in St Petersburg FL??  Not sure if they really exist but maybe worth your efforts to track them down.  I know if you find one it may sell quickly and at a premium.  The limited production of the Eclipse makes it hard to find used ones that are decent.  I think there are less than a hundred that have been made.  My 2007 is #49.  Sail On    Al

Unfortunately, all of those listings are sold. I was wondering how many Eclipses have been built. Does anyone know?

Mine was delivered at the end of Nov 2020 and is hull nbr 93 so I'd guess less than 100.

I believe they are working on #97 now.  Certainly a limited production sailboat.  My 2007 is #49 and Fred's  2020 is #93.  So in 13 years they have made 44 Eclipses.  That is slightly over 3 a year!  Not many.  I think the SunCat is their main seller now.

The limited number of Eclipse's built reminded me of an old post.  Enjoy.
