Title: Roller Furling
Post by: Gerry on November 13, 2020, 08:48:30 AM
Next spring I want to convert my hanked on jib to a roller furling jib.  What size jib should I purchase for my CP16?

Hi Gerry.
If your present jib is in good shape, why not reuse it? Any good sailmaker should be able to convert it by sewing a boltrope into the luff of the sail. The sail maker may want to know which brand roller furler you'll use. My 23 came with a CDI and it's given me no trouble.

Hope this helps!

The sail maker "Kent Sails" in Michigan used my existing hank on jib for the CDI roller furling conversion. They did the complete package. I was very pleased. The Video demonstrates some of the process. My1980 SV Ru-Ach would be a Youtube star.
