Title: Any Traverse City CP16 sailors?
Post by: Phldllr on June 27, 2020, 10:32:00 AM
Hello - I? like to sail my new to me CP1 (sail #989) out of Elmwood marina in TC. It would dramatically shorten my learning curve if I could sail on or in the company of other boats, or just talk tips and techniques with other local owners.  Anyone around?  Cheers!

You might see us sailing by on occasion in our SunCat...

When are you looking to sail?

We are out most days, in this heat wave, usually early-to-mid afternoon. Not today, running the Boardman R.

Sun Cat is, of course distinctive with the gaff rig, green hull. Also, some differences in the way cat's are set up and sailed: I haven't sailed a sloop in some decades...We generally monitor channel 16, if you have a radio.

Thanks for replies. I live near Empire and trailer to Elmwood, Glen Arbor, Frankfort. Jim, I haven?t bought a radio but I?ll keep and eye out for you - the SunCat is distinctive.  UpNorth, I?m retired: I can sail anytime!  Cheers!
