Title: A Rare Enconter of the ComPac Cat Kind...
Post by: Joseph on August 28, 2019, 10:16:36 PM
I wish to report a rare encounter of the Com-Pac Cat kind that just happened in Canadian waters.

I believe this was the first time that two Com-Pac Cats with similar hull and rig were seen meeting in oposite tacks while tacking together in Lac DeschĂȘnes (i.e., the wide body of water in the Ottawa River, West of Ottawa). One was a SunCat ("Sassy Gaffer"), the other was a SunDay ("Sail la Vie").

Pics and a short account of this chancy and momentous encounter can be seen in: http://thewakesileave.wordpress.com/2019/08/27/sailing-while-flying-kites-and-an-encounter-of-the-com-pac-kind/ (http://thewakesileave.wordpress.com/2019/08/27/sailing-while-flying-kites-and-an-encounter-of-the-com-pac-kind/)

Cheers!

J.

I'm still waiting for my first encounter of the ComPac Cat kind here in the Canadian maritimes...Bras d'or lakes, SJ River and Northumberand Strait, so far no encounters...but lots of interest in the sun cat from others
