Title: There is just something about a pretty lady with fresh lipstick!
Post by: Blown Away on May 29, 2019, 08:53:27 PM
Now come on guys I'm talking about bottom paint hahahaha! On a serious note for everyone's benefit please share your preference for bottom paint, region, number of months your boat stays in the water, and how often you repaint the bottom.... Share a pic if you have one.

I've had pretty good luck with Interlux ACT, I'm usually in about nine months and I sand down and repaint every year.

Blue Water Marine SCX Coppershield 45 with slime guard (although I think they have discontinued the slime guard version).  In the water continuously, fresh water, mid south region.  I haul and do the bottom every three years with an in water cleaning (gentle) every year.

Looks great!  I'm about to put Krypton on my new-to-me 23.  We're in fresh water and we plan to haul in the winter. That new paint is fast too.

I'm going to strip the scraped up boot stripe tape and paint it on. I did that on my 19 and it looked great!
