Title: Just bought a 2014 Day Cat
Post by: Sunny Day on March 10, 2019, 06:01:44 PM
Hello,

I have parked my new(ish)Day Cat in the yard and am looking forward to launching in a few weeks.  I have gon through a few boats in recent years and one that was sorry that I let go was a 2005 Horizon Cat.

I really like a bigger cockpit, so I think that this Day Cat will be the boat that fits us best.

For any horizon owners out there, one thing that pushed me away from the horizon was the challenge of boarding from the water up the transom ladder.  My wife doesn't think it is a successful day on the water unless she gets to swim, but it is a tough climb up and around the stern. Has anybody used or seen a side ladder on the compac?  I am thinking of a removable ladder with the curved top bars.

Thanks and if anybody is in the Yorktown va area, look me up. We are on Sarah Creek.

Cheers
Steve

Going to be anywhere near Apalachicola in the Panhandle?  We have a Horizon DayCat and, if it ever stops raining, sail often.
