Title: CP23's in the Puget Sound area
Post by: Styge on March 07, 2019, 12:46:59 PM
Hi everyone,
Long time listener, first time caller.  Just wondering if there are any CP23 owners lurking in the Puget Sound / Seattle area.  I acquired ABV23611G798 last July in the middle of a renovation project on my house in Juneau AK, not perfect timing, but it never is, is it?   I purchased it from an old boy in Anacortes and shipped it north on the ferry and then promptly put it to bed for the Winter.  I'll be down in the Seattle area this weekend on my way to the UK for a couple of weeks, and would love to connect with any owners (mainly to pick their brains!) I have enjoyed reading the posts on this forum and am gaining a great deal of appreciation for this little boat I found on Craigslist.  At the price I got it for I couldn't pass it up knowing I needed to once again scratch that sailing itch.
Thanks

Welcome Styge!

By my count, with 204 days before your first post, that puts you as champion at delaying Bob23's extortion the longest of any active poster on this site.  Congratulations, YPB.

Beware the Bobberwalky, for he lurks nearby.

Thank you Tim for the alert!
Styge- Tis true, I am the self appointed collector of all CPYOA fees, both real and fictitious. Normally the basic fee is $5000.00 in small unmarked bills left in a brown paper bag at the corner of Main and Broad streets. But...this is your lucky day! I am also a 23 guy (1985 23/2 sail number 321) and it's daylight savings time so with the powers vested in me, I'm waiving all fees for you!! Don't let this get around of everyone else will want a refund!!
Cheers to you! The 23 is a wonderful boat, I've owned mine, or should I say she's owned me for over 12 years now.
Welcome!
Bob23 in the South of NJ.

Lon, thanks for the heads up. I was able to stop by and partake in some boat porn whilst down in your neck of the woods. I found the two 23's and it's amazing what you can glean from just seeing a thing in its proper environment.  I'm curious as to the addition of the gunnels(?) on both boats (both of which look like they belong there and are well done)
Thanks
Styge
