Title: Bow tubing object?
Post by: H2operator on December 04, 2018, 03:45:33 PM
I came across the attached photos of a CP-23 with a piece of deck hardware I can't ID, its the tubing rig that's on the deck that look like it's connected to the head-stay. Any ideas? Lance

I think I may have figured it out, this boat has a tabernacle and the tubing is shaped like a yoke(not visible in these photos). The yoke extends along the deck to fittings that appear to be mounted to the deck about even with the tabernacle. I'd bet it a mast control system for raising and lowering!

I was thinking the same thing. Looks like part of an A-frame lifting system for the mast.

It's a system for temporarily lowering the mass to get under low bridges..   I think.

Bristol/Sox, The photos are from a For Sale listing in Europe, the UK I think. Pretty clever!
