Title: Outboard to rudder linkage
Post by: Dick on October 07, 2018, 09:10:28 AM
My 23/IV is berthed in a very tight marina and it requires me to turn both the outboard and the helm (my 23 has a helm vs a tiller) to get around tight corners. At the same time I have to work the throttle and the shift lever. If I could some how link the rudder to the outboard so that they turn in sync that would be one less thing to control.
Have any of you tried to rig such a linkage?

I'm in the middle of rigging one that is patterned after Salty19's very nice design, however it is for tiller to outboard rather than rudder, so I doubt it would be relevant in the case of wheel steering.  Not many 23's with wheel steering.
