Title: Myer's Hole, Barnegat Bay NJ
Post by: Reighnman on July 27, 2018, 09:33:07 AM
Can someone tell me where exactly is the anchorage spot for Myer's Hole? Hopefully staying here on 8/23 for BBB part 2.

If you are coming in the inlet, hang a left, basically at the lighthouse, proceed a short ways up the marked channel, and you will see an anchorage to your right. There used to be a mooring ball or two, but they are private. The current switches direction strongly and has a tendency to get anchor rodes tangled on vessel keels, rudders, etc. There is a nearby fuel dock and restaurants. I think the supreme fleet commander, Bob23, should organize a sail from Tices Shoal, through Oyster Creek Channel for a raft-up in Meyers.

Thanks! Looks like a well protected anchorage compared to Tices, though I've never been to either.
