Title: Decoding Hull ID Numbers
Post by: HCBuff on February 16, 2007, 11:30:37 PM
So I Got some info on my Horizon Cat which I hope to pick up tomorrow and was wondering
that  my hull ID number ends in 02 which makes it an 2002 mfg date. I bought it as an 03
but thats no bigge since the price was right. I was looking for info on what the other numbers meant on the ID . Mine is ABV20001J102 I know from the previous owner that this was one of the early production boats, just how early? I appreciate any help
Steve

HCBUFF,
The year designation is the model year, not the year of build, so your boat could be a 2002 model built in 2003.
Hope this helps.

Thanks, Gerry Hutchins was kind enough to e-mail me the info
seems its a 2002 built in 01 and it is the 1st Horizon Cat of the production
way cool!

WAY COOL STEVE! ... Hull # 1!~  Wow!
Is that a 'bonus' to discover AFTER you've bought your boat, or what!
Congratulations,
AJ

Thanks! It was Cool to find out and after picking her up yeasterday I got a copy of the sales video
fof the H cat and it's my boat in the video!
The only signs of age on her are the faded red hull and the teak needs an oiling the insides are new
and the diesel only has 7.3 hrs on her.
We're ready to sail..
