Hi.
New to the forum. I have owned a Suncat for 4 years with a friend, and love the boat. I've had bigger boats, and smaller boats, and, as Goldilocks famously said, this is just right. A proper little yacht.
I sail Narragansett Bay. Any other Suncat owners on the bay?
Thanks,
Tony
Welcome to the forum. I'm not a Suncat owner but a 16 and now a 19-III owner hailing from Riverside RI. Just launched the 19 last week on the 29th. Still learning about and still in the process of setting up its rigging. I expect to have my first sail latter this week. If you would like to come along sometime or just meet up, feel free to contact me. Fairly new to Rhode Island and last year only sailed from the I-195 bridge to just north of Prudence Island. Hope to veture further this year.
Hi Tony,
We've trailer sailed our Picnic Cat out of Haines Park on Bullocks Cove since 2010. In past seasons, we've seen a Sun Cat moored off the end of Bay Spring Ave, white hull with maroon covers. He wasn't there yet last Tuesday.
We also use the ramp in Bristol behind the Veteran's home into Mt. Hope Bay, and in Wilson Park in Wickford into the West Passage, although we've been lazy recently. Bullock Cove is a 5 minute drive.
Hi:
Sail s 27 out of Swansea Ma named Allure.

I'll look for y'all on the water. I sail out of Wickford Harbor. "Le Chat Bleu" with blue hull and sail cover. Finally got a dock last season. We used to sail off a mooring near Town Beach, but our dinghies kept sinking or exploring the bay on their own. Been out a few times already. Even having the boat all these years I didn't think it would sail so well with 30 kt gusts, even with 3 people aboard. Petal to the metal...
Wow there's a good contingent of RIers here. My 16 is sitting in my driveway in Portsmouth and has yet to hit the water up here. It sounds like a Narragansett bay Com-Pac rendezvous could be a thing!
Hi:
Sure sounds like a great idea !!
