The boatyard did a great job on replacing my bow pulpit, but thry forgot to reglue the liner to the cabin liner overhead, where they needed to access the nuts.
What advesive would you use for this fix?

Haven't done it yet, but I bought a new fabric liner from Sailrite and they recommend 3M adhesive. If you check their site, you'll see the item.

3M General Trim Adhesive (green and black can, model 08088), about $22/can. There are many 3M spray adhesives but this is the one Sailrite recommends and I can vouch that it works very well. I found that many local auto parts stores carry it in stock.

for the best adhesion spray both surfaces, wait a few minutes, and then apply.
i did the entire cabin last year and it was pretty easy. the fabric should stretch 4 ways. it would be even easier if you have a second set of hands.

I did an entire boat twice, a Columbia 8.7, but used the same fabric that Compac is currently using. Both surfaces essential. Open up everything when you are doing the cabin, fumes are pretty strong.

Also might consider a throwaway paint suit with a cap and hood. I got sticky all in my hair and on my arms the first time i did a confined space vberth overhead, but I probably went too thick on the spraying.
Also, do yourself a favor - trot down to Home Depot (or Lowe's) and buy a Roberts 3.5" Wide Carpet Tucker and a Roberts Professional Carpet Knife. Grand total $14 and you'll save time and frustration and get a more professional looking job. These and a good sharp pair of scissors are all you need.
Sailrite sells carpet style Hull Liner for about $20 a yard. It comes in 72" width. The "Sand" color is virtually identical to the stuff Hutchins originally installed. I had to replace mine above the v-berth after doing some fiberglass repairs, and went ahead and did the whole boat. After 30 years the original was stained and mildewed. What a difference! Feels like a new boat.

I considered the sand color from Sailrite to match the original, but went with "silver grey" instead. I think it will brighten up the cabin a bit.
The yard very neatly cut and peeled back the liner. All I need to do paste it back.
