Title: Thinking about selling

I have a CP-27 in Green Bay, WI and am considering selling due to lack of time for using it.

I'm not quite ready to sell it yet. I just want to see what others think. If I decide to sell it on my own, is $5000 firm and includes a paid up slip for 2018 at South Bay Marina a good price?

Did you mean $15, and not $5? Seems really low to me but if I lived in Green Bay it would be perfect! Take a look on sailboatlisting and yachtworld.

Thanks guys. I'll check the listings. I got a really good deal on it and won't be losing much at that price. However, if I use the broker at the marina the fee is $2000. I just don't want to list it at a lofty price and have to store it for another winter.

My wife kind of tossed it out there to a friend for that price and I certainly don't want to overcharge a friend. It's in pretty good condition and has only one need of repair that I'm aware of and that is a leak in the freshwater supply that I discovered on our last time out last season.

My logic is that if I sign with a broker and want $5000, then he needs to get at least $7000, and of course there has to be room for negotiation. All this would probably put the list price at around $12,000.

Hi:
Had a leak in my water tank last year or two keeps filling up the bilge. Turned out to be the plastic fitting in the back of the tank. You will NEVER EVER get the lid off!! Ended up cutting a access hole in the lid cover for access. Ended up putting a gasketted lid port in it. Supposed to be water proof but with a full tank of water it still leaks out when healing out of the lid I put in. Now I just put 30 to 35 galloons of fresh water In it. Works out fine.  Unfortunately the nut for the fitting on the tank is on the inside. Good luck.

FYI, I sold my Com-PAC 27 to a friend. I've received a few messages about it and just thought I'd update everyone. Especially since this isn't the classified section.

Thanks for the helpful information though. I think my friend is pretty happy with his purchase.
